I highly recommend Rabbi Nochum for your baby’s bris or circumcision. As a practicing Licensed Midwife for over 10 years, I’ve never seen a more competent, compassionate and informative practitioner for this procedure. My grandson’s circumcision was performed by Mohel Rabbi Nochum Yusewitz. As a board certified urologist and a grandfather I was an intimate witness to Rabbi Yusewitz’s skill and compassion. As a urologist who performed many circumcision revisions because parents were unhappy with the cosmetic results of circumcisions performed by physicians (Many physicians performing neonatal circumcisions are very conservative in terms of removing adequate amount of foreskin, leaving a suboptimal cosmetic result), I feel imminently qualified to comment on Rabbi’s technique. The narrow slit in the Mogen Shield (not to be confused with the Mogen Clamp) virtually eliminates the risk of injury to the glans.

Rabbi Yusewitz’s gentle approach, kindness and warmth compliment his surgical technique. Before proceeding he explained the procedure in detail to my son and daughter-in-law. After the circumcision, Rabbi took his time to explain post-procedure care in great detail, including instructions to keep him posted with the specifics of post-circumcision dressing changes. He examined my grandson prior to leaving to ensure that there were no unexpected events such as excessive or delayed bleeding.

I would highly recommend Rabbi Nochum Yusewitz to any family looking for a mohel. Even those who are not very religious could benefit from Rabbi’s skill and compassion and his cosmetically ideal circumcision.
